    Artist Statement
I am first and foremost a figurative artist and feel that depicting the culture and history of Native Americans is a vehicle from which I am able to sculpt the beauty of the human form as well as the beauty of the human condition that is common to all cultures.

I believe drawing is the foundation of representational art, and that sculpture is simply drawing in three dimensions. My intent is to capture the emotion, dignity and personality of my subject in concert with sound drawing, design and technique and to make a personal connection with the viewer
