PAAC is a National Plein air organization based in Denver, Colorado. Colorado is a destination state for the best Plein air painters from all over the country; and they send their best work to show with PAAC every spring. Collectors will have the privilege to meet many of these painters at our opening weekend June 25th, & 26th, 2010. The roots of PAAC go back many years to the Art Students’ League of Denver when several landscape students started painting “En Plein Air” on a regular basis. They showed in museums, art centers, and galleries all over Colorado; Canyon Road in New Mexico; and by invitation in Chicago. Then in 2005, they joined forces with PAC, another similar group of painters with the same mission, and PAAC was reborn; went National and has become a Colorado institution with over 250 members nationwide. All to the benefit of collectors across the country!
Mission
PAAC was founded on the idea of fostering camaraderie among plein air artists through regular paint outs. It's also a founding principal that these paint outs be open to everyone of every level and we encourage anyone who wants to come to our paint outs to drop in!
