Vincent Van Gogh and Skye Mason - a beautiful combination.
What is it about these two paintings that inspire us?

Vincent Van Gogh, a post-impressionist painter whose work is noted for it's rough beauty and bold color. Van Gogh is undeniable one of the most sought after Dutch painters, as two of his paintings where among the list of 10 highest known prices paid for paintings.  Van Gogh's "Almond Blossoms" were part of a series of works created shortly after the birth of his nephew, who was his namesake.

Skye Mason follows the very footsteps of Van Gogh and Monet - traveling the streets of Saint Remy and Giverny - painting in the same places they painted.  Skye's dramatic, colorful style has won her recognition as an artist with a diverse perspective interpreting objects, scenes and familiar places with uncommon site.
This painting recently sold at Saks Galleries Cherry Creek.
